Sunday Snippets: Weekend Writing Warriors #8sunday 09/21/14

This week I’m participating in Sunday Snippets, part of the Weekend Writing Warriors meme. Be sure to visit their site to view all the other wonderful authors.

Today’s snippet is a sneak preview from my upcoming YA paranormal romance, The Angel Killer, book two in The Watcher Saga, which releases in January 2015.

This scene takes place shortly after a snippet I posted for Sneak Peek Sunday. Mia greets Michael after he’s been absent for days.

Michael kissed along my jaw line, his breath tickling my neck. “I’ve wanted to do this for three days.”

Our lips met, and I melted into him, not caring that we were on the sidewalk, outside a deli with families shopping inside. Nor did I care about the strict rules he had to follow about contact with humans—especially of the relationship variety. Angels had the ability to enthrall humans with their touch, something Michael had to constantly keep in check. But I didn’t have to be enthralled to want to kiss him; that was my doing. All that mattered right now was that he was here. With me.closequot

Mia and Michael share an ancient love. If you haven’t read about them, check out The Watcher and find out where it all began.
